What are computer game graphics?
Computer game graphics can be in different types such as realistic or pixel however they are all mainly consisting of textures/sprites in 2D games and models in 3d games. adding all different textures and extra things into the background such as clouds or planes or fire which really helps with the effect.
There are other parts of computer game graphics which do not have an affect on the game it's self such as the HUD or menus however they do let you know things and have a theme that works well with the rest of the game rather than being plain.
something that has to be done before a game is made is concept art which helps the other developers know what characters and levels look like along with what colours they are and the right patterns and other extras are added.
One thing that doesn't directly affect the game but is useful to help sell the game is the box art/ packaging and the posters. These are professionally designed and use colours that represent the rest of the game along with some images and information about the game to get people interested. some games have extra features which encourage people to buy the game for some extra features/content.
