Client brief - You are an apprenticeship games designer working for a games developer in the East Midlands. Your manager has provided to you a game for which you must plan and create and animated model.
My own brief - I have to make a map and models and animations and textures then but them into Unreal 4 to create my game. I must also do blueprints and other things to make the game work well. I must also try to add enemies to the game which will attack on sight, also might need to put in some other extra little things aswell.
Mood Board

Legal issues - The game will probably be rated 18+ for strong violence. This decision is made as I prefer to keep my audience at a mature level and I do not mind how well it would sell if it were real. I would compare my game to something like Silent Hill or Resident Evil. Unless I put my own textures on my model I might have some legal issues if I use someone elses work.
Constraints - The limitations are the time given to finish the models and animation. The amount of experience I have is also a limitation as I am not a professional. Another limit is potentially the type of program used to make the model as some programs might not work as well or be simple enough.

Example
Skip to 8 minutes 46 seconds
Standing - This will be an idle animation where the character will be just standing still and his arms and legs will sway forward and back in some way.
Walking - In this animation, if the character is not holding a weapon, his arms will be by his side and they will be going back and forth, his legs will just walk as any normal human would.
Jumping - When jumping your legs will go backwards and your character will be in the air for a couple of seconds.
Weapons - When holding weapons your character's hands will be out infront of him emphasizing that he needs two hands in the right position to effectively fire the weapon.
Crouching - When crouching your character will be in the crouch position and still have his gun out infront of him so he can still fight.
