Animating My Model
First of all I could not set up a skeleton or rigging as Maya does not work properly. To animate my model I used keyframes. Keyframes are are a bit like taking pictures and putting them together to form a movie, you move the model a little bit at a time and add one keyframe to every movement of the model you make so it all strings together.
First of all I set it to Animation instead of Polygons. I selected the parts I wanted to move and I moved them and pressed S and moved them and pressed S again. This recorded the movements of the object and put it into keyframes. Then when pressing play it shows that part moving.
As you can see in the gif above, I have made my model move a bit although it doesn't look like much at the minute it is a start.
Now I have improved my animation a lot, the movement is more fluid and has a lot more frames, although you can't completely tell what he is doing but it is a big improvement.
