1) The genre I would choose for a videogame based on Unstoppable would be a simulator because most of the film is just trains moving which you could control and driving cars which you could also control to make the game progress as there isn't any other kind of action or adventure going on that you could make it into any other sort of game.
2) Unstoppable is just a film however it is loosely based off of a real life event that happened in 2001 in which a man left a train on and it got away from him and people had to chase it down.
3)Characters

Frank played by Denzel Washington who is the railroad veteren working with Will for the day.

Will played by Chris Pine is a man who started working on railroads and got into a mix up where he was separated from his wife.

Connie played by Rosario Dawson is the woman in HQ that is telling people what to do and what is going on with the trains and tracks.

Dewey played by Ethan Suplee is the train driver that causes the train to drive off on it's own and cause mayhem.

Galvin played by Kevin Dunn who is in charge of the railroads and tries to stop the train multiple times, failing all of them.
4) The sub-characters
Inspector Werner played by Kevin Corrigan who is with Connie and helps her out along with Frank and Will with information about trains and things on them.

Ned Oldham played by Lew Temple, this man works for Connie who he helps and he also helps Frank and Will out with trying to stop the train.

Gilleece played by T.J. Miller, he is Dewey's friend who works on the rails with him, he is the one that warns him not to get off of the train.

Darcy Colson played by Jessy Schram, she is the wife of Will but she isn't able to see him as he has wrongly been given a restraining order against her.

Judd Stewart played by David Warshofsky who is one of the train drivers and ends up being killed when his train is knocked off the tracks and explodes.
The Emotional Themes of the Characters
The emotional themes of Frank are that he is sad because he is going to stop being a train driver soon however that isn't found out about until near the end, also he misses his two daughters, he couldn't attend one of his daughters birthday parties.
The emotional themes of Will are that he is sad as he cannot see his wife due to a restraining order, he has also been doing some underground things with different jobs and is working part time on trains to take his mind off of things.
The emotional themes of Connie are that she is annoyed cause Dewey let this train go on rampage and now she has to help stop it and figure out what to do.
The emotional themes of Dewey are that he is annoyed at people yelling at him and he doesn't like to listen that much, he really regret getting off of the train and now it is all his fault.
The emotional themes of Galvin are that he hates that he has to try and take care of this runaway train and is trying to stop it with all his power and won't let anyone go against him or try any other way of stopping it.

The motivations for Frank were to get out of the way of the train as soon as he found out about it, he also later on wanted to stop the train as it could of killed lots of people.
The motivations for Will were to do a good job with the train and to be able to be with his wife again. He played a big role in stopping the train which he risked his life to do.
The intro is from the beginning up until the point of when Dewey loses control of the train as it speeds up and they realize that something may go very wrong as the train was set to full power.
The middle is all the attempts they try to stop the train and the problems they came across when going along with it. The main characters go after the train and try to stop it themselves.
The end is where they finally manage to stop the train and everyone is happy and everything is well again. This comes about when the two main characters chase after the train and stop it from tipping over and blowing everything up, they then manage to climb on board and stop it after their breaks wouldn't do it.
The relationship between Frank and Will starts off as just co-workers, however over the course of the film they start to open up to each other about more things and help each other out more which end up making them good friends by the end of the film, this is because when you are put in certain situations such as life or death and different things happen to change your mind about things then you start to get closer to the person you are sharing those type of moments with.
The Plot
A man who has been given a restraining order against his wife starts to work in a train station to take his mind off of things, he starts working with a train driver who loves his daughters but when a train driver makes and error and speeding train is coming straight towards them, they try their best to stop the out of control train and save a lot of people from their town being destroyed by a train full of explosive chemicals.
The differences between the film of Unstoppable and a game version
The differences the film and a game of the film would have are that the film would be a lot more realistic compared to the game as there are limits to what a game engine can do and it is more fun to see things that aren't as easy to get through in real life. There would have to be a lot more time put into the game than the film as it takes a while to get everything together and working well. The game would also have more action going on as not to bore the player along the way. Another difference is that the film is not very easy to put into a game therefore the type of game that could be made out of it wouldn't be too interactive.
