3D Environment Creation and Explanation

My 3D Environment

First of all my environment is lit strangely therefore it may look a bit odd but aside from that there has been a lot of work put into it.

First of all here is a top down view of my map, it looks like a snake. You can see most of the map from here, aside from the inside of the house and the cave. There are mountains outside the map and walls around the map to stop people from escaping the boundaries. I had to also put invisible walls around the path to the house as it was much more convenient and this makes the player take the long way around so the game takes more time.

Here you can see the invisible walls (they are visible in the editor but not in-game) also you can see the shadows and where the leaf particles are placed.
Here you get a closer look at the trees and grass as it is difficult to do that in-game especially in a 3rd person perspective. The leaves on the trees and the grass also sway in the wind making them look rather realistic.
This is what the character looks like. In the editor you can see where the camera is placed which is where you can see the character from when you play the game. Also I have added a spotlight to the character which is used as a flashlight so you can see in dark places much easier.
If you look closely you can see the leaf particles blowing in the wind here.
I also have added a small pond in my map to add to the realistic nature of a forest.

Outside the house you can see there is a barrel, a chair, some boxes and a lock that has been broken off of the door. This gives it the feeling that someone lived here before.
The boxes that are in the way of the door have physics on them therefore you can push them simply by moving your character into them.
This is what my sky looks like in-game, it is a dark and cloudy night which is just the type of atmosphere I am looking for.
This is what the cave looks like from the outside, it is underground and the map has been sunk down so that it feels a lot more like a cave. I also made the entire cave out of rocks as it makes it look more natural than square walls.

In the first room of the house there is a small lantern on the table, there is also a chainsaw on the table to signify that people have been there not too long ago. You can also see where the dust particles have been placed.
This is the second room of the house, one you may miss, but there is a bed in here, with some bloodstains which signify some sort of brutal attack. There is also a cage which may have kept animals or even people. If you look closely you can also see a knife right below the bed. This might be used in the game as a weapon.
In the next room you will see some strange things around on a table and on the wall. Here you can see some chairs around a fireplace with some logs and another lantern, there seem to be some blood trail of someone trying to escape the hole in the fireplace which leads down.
In the room next door to the last one there is a bed completely covered in blood along with a makeshift lamp, someone may have died in this room.
Also here it is very difficult to see but there are dust particles in the room, although they are very small and hard to notice.

Here you can see some fog coming out of the cave/basement area.
Further into the cave you can see even more smoke/fog and there are also some stairs leading further down along with some more lanterns lying around.
Once you are past the foggy area there will be a nice illuminated path through the rest of the cave.
This is the making of the stairs which lead from the top of the cave down.
This is the bottom of the cave, the lights are now on the ceiling as the room is quite big and spacious, good to put a boss fight in there.
I have edited the sky so it looks like nighttime so it is nice and dark and cloudy with a few stars.
